The 13th Annual Webby Awards were a huge success last night.
Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards honor the year’s best Websites, online film and videos, interactive advertising, and mobile sites, as well as special achievement honorees, including Lifetime Achievement, Artist of the Year, Person of the Year, Best Actor of the Year, Best Actress of the Year and Breakout of the Year.
In keeping with Webby tradition, all winners must adhere to the Webby Awards’ famous five-word speech limit. Speeches by past winners like Al Gore (“Please don’t recount this vote.”), Beastie Boys (“Can anyone fix my computer?”), and Arianna Huffington (“President Obama. Lisa Kudrow was presented with Outstanding Comedic Performance by her friend Alan Cumming.
And Seth MacFarlane won Film and Video Person of the Year, although he couldn’t attend, so he made a special video.
